Puppet Show

We went to the Galleria today to do some shopping and had perfect timing! We were riding in the elevator with a set of grandparents and their grandson, who asked us if we were going to the puppet show too. Of course, we knew nothing about it and had to find out! So...off to the puppet show we went! Apparently, the Galleria puts on a production of some sort for kids every Saturday morning (good to know).

Here is Stetson sitting in his chair like the good boy that he is. He actually turned away from the show so Daddy could take a picture!
Mommy and Cassidy could not get as close to the action, but I did manage to find Stetson and Daddy in the crowd and take a picture. Can you find them?
Raggedy Ann!! No Andy, though....bummer.
It was pretty hard to take pictures but Stetson absolutely LOVED the show! We will definitely have to take him back. I wish our actual shopping had worked out as perfectly as our timing for the puppet show did.

Saturday Update

As you have probably figured out, we go to the house every Saturday morning to check out the week's progress. Although this morning was cold, it was so exciting! The house is actually starting to look like something because they have started framing!

We brought our best builder with us and he did a FANTASTIC job!
Just look at that determination! You can't ask for someone to work harder than he does. Of course, having an aunt who provides the right equipment is priceless as well...thank you again, Aunt Mo!
They have only framed the first floor but you can actually walk through the house room by room. Here is a view of the garage...
The view from standing on the corner...
The front...
From the other side...
And another one of the front...
We are already looking forward to next Saturday, where we hope to see the second story and roof trusses!!

Cassidy is 8 Months Old

Eight months already...no!!! She is growing up too fast! I loved her so much the day she was born but I love her oodles more with each passing day. She is definitely my Little Miss Sunshine! (I can't forget to mention that I absolutely adore my original Sunshine too!)

She is still toothless but working like crazy to get those teeth in! We are expecting one to show up any day now and a few friends not much later.

Cassidy is also working on crawling. She will get up on "all fours" and rock back and forth but hasn't quite figured out how to put it all together. It's just fine with Mommy and Daddy, though, because immobility is so under rated! ;)

Her favorite trick is pulling up. She would much rather be standing upright than be on the floor.

She is so proud! At this point, she loves to bang her toys (or anything else) on the table.
Cassidy stole Daddy's heart this month by saying "DaDa" for the first time. She has also added "Bubba" and "Hi" to her vocabulary. We just love our Diddy Bug!

Foundation of Our Future

We are so excited to have our house out of the ground! Our foundation has been poured and we are ready to get three-dimensional! It is so hard to picture walls and the flow of the house when you are just looking at the slab. In fact, it looks small! I am horrible at visualizing things so I am even more excited to see the framing start.

Looking from the driveway at the garage...
More of the garage...
Welcome to Casa de Sarratt!! Our front door...
Standing on the street in front of the house...
Standing on the street looking at our garage (remember we are on a corner so this is a different street than the front of the house)...
Standing in the back yard behind the garage...
J's trailer pad, which is to the left of the driveway when looking from the street...
The dog run, which is on the opposite side of the house from the garage. J's truck is parked in front of the house (I only tell you that so you can get perspective).
Standing in the backyard looking at the house. J and Stetson are standing in the master bedroom.
Standing on the back patio looking at the backyard to the left...

And looking straight out (future pool!!)...

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles

J and I had the pleasure of attending the Playoff game between the Cowboys and the Eagles tonight. It was a GREAT game and an experience that we will never forget. How 'bout them Cowboys?!!

We arrived at the stadium early so we could take in all the sights, etc. Here we are posing for a picture on the patio of our suite. As you can see, they were AWESOME seats!
A glimpse of the inside of the suite and where I sat the entire game.
Ted Nugent performed The Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of the game. This couldn't get any better for J if I had scripted it myself!
Here come the Boys!! Well hello, Miles Austin!
Great moment caught on camera.
Watching the game...
The Cowboys offense in action...
WHAT?! A 72 yard touchdown run by Felix Jones! What a game!
Oh, and did I mention that we are television stars?! Too cool!
There is no way this experience could get any better, right? Wrong. Guess who nabbed Felix Jones' touchdown ball that came flying our way??
WHAT A GAME! WHAT A NIGHT! WHAT A MEMORY! GO COWBOYS!!!

Progress!

We have finally started building our house! Between us changing the plans and waiting for permits, etc. it has seemed like an eternity to get to the ground-breaking point. As of today, we have officially begun!

I know this doesn't look like much but seeing people on the lot actually doing something is HUGE for us! We'll keep you updated because it should start moving along now.
