The Last Birthday Activity

Once the party was over and the kids took baths and cleaned up, it was finally time to open all of Stetson's gifts.  Oh my goodness! What a haul!

This was the first year Stetson was able to read each card.  That was pretty cool for Mom to watch.  :)
New rain gear!!
Stetson received so many awesome gifts and we truly appreciate each and every one. Thanks to all for making his 6th birthday the best one yet!  We made some great memories.

Cowboy Party - In Action

Yee Haw!  The party is underway!  I didn't do as well as I wanted to taking pictures, but I managed to snap a few.

Steer Ropin' was fun for all!
Ride 'em cowboy!
Gold Strike was a huge hit!  What is it about kids and sand?  You will also notice one of the water guns in Stetson's hand.  The kids had the BIGGEST water gun fight I have ever seen!  It was a blast!
After the party had been going for about 30 minutes, I opened the gate and what was on the other side was so exciting!  It was ponies!!  Casper and Lil' Bit were kind enough to let each guest ride them!
Who wants to go first??!
Well the birthday boy of course!!
He was joined by his little sister!
Ridin' off into the sunset...
My little cowboy and cowgirl!
I didn't get a chance to get a picture of all the kids, but here are a few.  Cowboy Caden ready to go!
Cowgirl Alyssa
Cowgirl Evelyn and Cowgirl Scarlett
We even managed to fit in true birthday party activities like singing Happy Birthday, blowing out candles, and eating cupcakes!
Thanks y'all for comin' to the Rockin' S Ranch to help us celebrate Stetson's birthday!!  Y'all come back now ya hear?

Cowboy Party - Set-Up

Stetson invited all his friends and family to a hootin' hollerin' good time at the Rockin' S Ranch to celebrate his sixth birthday.  We have been so excited for this day to come and it is finally here!  I actually remembered to take pictures too!

As the guests arrived, they saw a "Happy Birthday" sign and a "Welcome to the Wild West" sign to let them know they had found the party.
Once inside, each guest was told to "Git Yer Gear"!  This obviously was a cowboy hat and a bandanna of their choice.
The Rockin' S Ranch was full of activities to entertain them.  This was the horseshoe pit and ring toss area.
"The Brandin' Iron" - cowboy tattoos
"Gold Strike" - panning for gold in the sand.  It was full of gold but you had to find it!
"Shoot Out" - see how many bubbles you can shoot with a water gun
"Steer Ropin'" - can you sit on the saddle and throw the hula hoop around the horse's neck?
"Snake Toss" - can you get a snake in the bucket?
"Chuck Wagon" and "Waterin' Hole" - food and drinks.  The "Lone Ranger Ale" was a big hit (aka lemonade).
Pull up some hay and stay a while why don't ya?!
"Happy Trails" - thanks for comin'!
And last but not least, the birthday boy!!!
Let's party!

Party Time

Stetson has had a GREAT birthday (per him)!!  He got to have donuts for breakfast, Mommy and Daddy surprised him with lunch at school today, he brought cupcakes to share with his classmates, he got to walk home from school and play with Daddy, he chose the menu for his birthday dinner, and we had our family party!  Whew!!  That's a busy birthday!

It was FINALLY time to open presents after dinner tonight!  He was so excited!
He started with Aunt Mo and Marcy's gift because he liked the horse stickers on the envelope.
Hmm...what could it be?
Whoa!  A Slip 'N Slide with a boogie board!!  Very cool!!
Next he chose to open the gift from his little sister.  She gave him a Texas Rangers baseball cap and two t-shirts!

Thanks, Cassidy!
Uncle Kevin, Aunt Cami, Christopher and Michael sent Stetson $20!!  The biggest bill he has ever received!
Lastly, Mommy and Daddy got him some games for his Wii...
And more Texas Rangers gear.
My sweeties...a six year old and an almost three year old.  Time sure does fly.
Happy 6th Birthday, Stetson!!

Happy 6th Birthday, Stetson!

Happy, Happy Birthday to our favorite son!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from our family to yours!! Wow, what a busy day we have had filled with lots of Easter fun!  It all began bright and early when the kids woke up and found that the Easter Bunny had come.  He left tons of goodies!

Stetson and Cassidy's baskets were full of candy and toys, including these cute little bunnies.
After emptying the baskets, it was time to go hunting!  E.B. filled plastic eggs with candy and left them all over downstairs.
Both kids filled their baskets!
They also each found a golden egg which contained a dollar bill!  Very exciting!
Once the plastic eggs were all found, it was time to move outside and find the real eggs they had dyed.  It was a more difficult hunt but they loved every minute of it.
We were also invited to Mama Bear and Papa Bear's house to celebrate Easter.  We couldn't pass up the opportunity for a photo or two of our cuties with the flowers.

The Ratt Pack.  Thanks, Mama Bear, for taking this picture!
After a fabulous meal, it was time for another egg hunt! These eggs were filled with money!
Mama Bear and Papa Bear have the perfect yard for this.
Huntin' for eggs...
Found one!
We also had plenty of time to play and enjoy the weather.  E.B. brought Cassidy bubbles!!
The boys played a great game of baseball.
And the girls did too!
Thank you, Mama Bear and Papa Bear, for all the Easter festivities!  We had a great time spending the day with you!  We hope everyone had an Easter as wonderful as ours.
