Happy 4th Birthday, Cassidy!

Happy Birthday to our favorite daughter!  I cannot believe you are already four years old!  You have grown into the happiest, spunkiest and most fun-loving little girl and we are so proud of you in so many ways.  May your day be as special as you, sweet girl.

Cassidy brought these cupcakes to school for her friends today, but unfortunately, we were not able to celebrate the way we wanted to.  Our family has been struck by a stomach bug and Mommy and Daddy's turn was today (yuck).  We are going to celebrate as soon as everyone is healthy, though!

Cassidy's 4th Birthday Party

Cassidy decided to have a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse party this year.  What a great idea! She invited all her friends and family and we had a great turn out.

Here is the birthday girl in her special Minnie Mouse outfit...
We put cardboard down and markers so her guests could write her special birthday messages and draw pictures.  It's hard to see but it says "Happy 4th Birthday, Cassidy!" already.
Toodles' Treasures was where the guests made necklaces.
At Minnie's Bow-Tique they decorated bows to their liking.
And then pinned them on Mickey to make him Minnie.
We also put out all kinds of outside toys for everyone to play with.
Including bubbles....a Cassidy favorite!
Last but not least, we got a bounce house.  Cassidy LOVED it!
The party was in the morning so we only served snacks.  We had Goofy's Goldfish, Mickey's Mix, Donald's Quackers, and Clarabelle's Candy.
Everyone washed it all down with Pluto's Punch.
I made Mickey Mouse cupcakes too.
Let the party begin!  The first thing Cassidy wanted to do was draw on the cardboard.
Pin the bow on Mickey in action...
McKenna and Cassidy enjoyed their snacks.
The necklaces were a huge hit too.
Fun was had by all!
Jordan helped Cassidy blow out her candle.
Bubbles!
Happy Birthday, Diddy Bug!
Before the guests left, they each got a goodie bag.
The red bags contained treats for the girls.
While the black bags contained treats for the boys.
What an awesome party!!

The fun wasn't over yet, though.  After all her friends left, Cassidy had a TON of gifts to open.
She received so many great things.  Thank you one and all for making her day so special!

Recital 2013

I have been waiting for this day for such a long time!  Today is Cassidy's first dance recital! Knowing my background, you can imagine how anxious I was to see my little girl in action.  I am so proud of her and all she has learned/accomplished this year during her ballet and tap classes, as is the rest of our family.

Cassidy only did a tap routine at recital this year. Here she is before we dropped her off backstage. She is such a big girl!
Check out those pretty tap shoes too!
I can't get this picture to rotate, but here is the program from her recital.  The theme was "Dancing Through Disney" and each routine was a song from one of the Disney movies.
Cassidy's routine was "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" from the movie "Lilo and Stitch".
Here she is onstage with her friends!  She is second from the right.
She danced her little heart out!  We are so proud of her!
After everyone had performed, all the classes were escorted on stage by the Disney Princesses after they were given a trophy.  Cassidy is the first one in the green costume.  She is SO proud of her trophy!
We did video the whole performance with our video camera, but I only recorded a little bit with my camera. Here is a teaser for your viewing pleasure...
Cassidy also received flowers and lot of hugs and kisses after her recital.  She did such a great job and we can't wait to see her dance more! Congratulations, Diddy Bug!!

Cassidy's Spring Pictures

Our favorite photographer has done it again!  It's either that, or the model is just really good (and cute)!  I bet it's both.  :)
