Veteran's Day

We would like to wish all veterans a very Happy Veteran's Day, especially those near and dear to our hearts...Gramps, Papa, Uncle Kevin, and Uncle Chris.  Simply saying thanks is not enough for the sacrifices you have made.  You truly are our heroes.

Stetson's class honored all veterans with a program at school.  He is in the middle of this picture in a plaid shirt.
The third graders did a great job!  They sang lots of patriotic songs like "God Bless America" and invited their family members who are currently serving or have served in the military to be recognized. Stetson gives a special shout out to his loved ones!
Here is a closer picture of Stetson singing.
We love our veterans and believe they should be honored every day, but Stetson and his class definitely honored them well today.  A huge THANK YOU to all who serve or have served!

Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals

Our family motto is "Work Hard. Play Hard." Since Stetson and Cassidy worked so hard and did so well the first nine weeks of school, J and I decided that we needed to reward them.  So, what should we do to "play hard"?

We handed the kids and envelope so they could find out.  Inside were four tickets to the Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals game in a suite at AT&T Stadium!!
It's not every day that you get seats like this to an NFL game...
Daddy showed them just how cool these seats are...he pointed out the unlimited food and drink inside the suite, how close the players and cheerleaders are, and how far away we sat at the last game.
Even the girls enjoyed the football game!
Stetson loved all the items inside the suite.  This was a jersey signed by Jason Witten.
Whom happens to be Daddy's favorite player (notice the jersey he is wearing)!
Cassidy found a signed jersey of her favorite player too!
I mean really...
She had a direct view of everything she could possibly want to see.  She was eyeing the cheerleaders here...
Our suite tickets gave us access to the area where the players walk to and from the locker room.  So, at halftime we watched them pass by.  They were so close you could reach out and touch them.
But this little boy stayed in this position the entire game.  I think he was dreaming of what it would be like if HE was a Dallas Cowboy.
Cassidy cracked us up because this camera guy was filming her and she had NO idea! He was right up in her face at one point but it didn't phase her a bit.
She made lots of new friends too.
Even though the Cowboys lost, it was still a great game!
We all had an absolute blast!
Before we left, Stetson reached down and touched the field.  I hope it brings him lots of good luck!
"Work hard.  Play hard."  Mission accomplished.
