More Celebration

As you know, our family motto is "work hard, play hard".  Since Stetson and Cassidy worked so hard at school this past nine weeks, we decided that yogurt wasn't enough of a treat to celebrate their accomplishments.  So, we took them to their favorite restaurant for dinner!

While waiting, you get to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor.  They both LOVE this!
In peanut heaven!
Then it was time for their meal.  Two mini cheeseburgers on their awesome buns, please!!
Same for me!

I'm so glad we got the chance to take these two out and let them know just how proud we are of them. We hope to have many more of these celebrations!

Celebration

We HAVE to celebrate Stetson and Cassidy's accomplishments at school.  What better way than frozen yogurt, right?!  They were excited with that choice.

Our little vanilla girl found the vanilla yogurt right away.
Stetson found the chocolate just as fast.
Yum...toppings!
So many choices.  Maybe a little of each?
Enjoy your treat!  You worked hard for it!
Gramps came along to celebrate with us.
As did Mama Bear!  Thanks for being there for them, as always.
Thumbs up to the yogurt and to their hard work!

2nd Nine Weeks Awards

It is hard to believe that the second nine week grading period is over already.  It seems our kids worked VERY hard, though!

Stetson received the coveted "Principal's Award" again (grades in all subjects 95 or higher).
We received notification that he would be receiving a special award, but had no idea what it would be.  Turns out...he was class Valedictorian for this nine weeks!  SO PROUD!
Once again, he has a handful of awards!  Congratulations, Stetson!
Cassidy also received awards this nine weeks.  Her teacher gave her a special award for always helping her and being a hard worker.
She also received the perfect attendance award.
I am proud of my little cutie patootie!
Way to go, Diddy Bug!
Here is Stetson's special award up close and personal.  His hard work is definitely paying off!
Keep up the great work, munchkins!  Mommy and Daddy could not be any prouder of you!

Cassidy Lost a Tooth!

Cassidy lost her first tooth!  She was brushing her teeth after breakfast this morning and out it came! She is SO excited that the tooth fairy is finally going to come visit HER!
Right before bed we got Toofy Bear down for her.
She carefully placed her tooth in the pocket on his belly.
Then placed him under her pillow so the tooth fairy could find him.
Ready for the tooth fairy!  Now she just has to get to sleep.
The next morning she was very happy with what she found!
Her first tooth got her $1.61!
Great job, Diddy Bug!  I'm sure the tooth fairy will be back to visit you soon.

Gymnastics

Now that I have a camera that has a zoom lens and no flash, I can take pictures of Cassidy at gymnastics!  She is really learning a lot and improving her skills each week.  I think gymnastics may be her "thing".

Coach Tanner is teaching Cassidy the proper skills to begin doing back rolls on the beam.
Here they were learning proper balance and dismount techniques.
On to the floor for some forward and back rolls.
And some cartwheels...
I got caught taking pictures...so she posed.
Split jumps!
Handstands and "tick tocks".
Trampoline time!  This is one of Cassidy's favorites!  She is doing a full twist in this picture.
I'm so happy to finally get some pictures of my girl doing what she loves!  They didn't do any bar work this class, so I'll have to sneak some pictures of that next time.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Although birthdays aren't what they used to be when I was kid, my family sure knows how to make my day special.  I was treated to a yummy steak dinner that I thoroughly enjoyed!  I was also spoiled with lots of goodies.

Mama Bear gave me her gift before we went out to dinner.
What could it be?!
A beautiful and cozy new robe!!
We're still playing with the new camera and got some cute shots of the kiddos too.
I just love them!
The kiddos made me beautiful cards.
Mom got me a new cookie press, which I can't wait to test!
Amber sent me a whole box of goodies!  My goodness look at all this loot!
I say that I'm seven with 3 to grow on...sounds reasonable, right?
I hope this birthday wish comes true!
Thank you one and all for making my birthday so fabulous!  I truly feel loved and blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.  Here's to many, many more.

Pirates Basketball

Well, I got a new camera for Christmas so I decided to test it out at Stetson's basketball game.  I absolutely love my camera, but I love watching my boy play sports too.  Now I have the best of both worlds!

I love all the action shots I can get now.
Go # 11!
I can even capture how he sticks his tongue out when he's concentrating.  :)
He's about to shoot!
I also got a picture of him taking a break and watching his teammates.
The Pirates win again!  I think I'm going to really like my camera when it comes to sporting events.
