Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!!  We came home from school and work this evening ready to go trick-or-treating!  Stetson transformed into The Green Lantern and Cassidy turned into a cheerleader in the blink of an eye.  Let the fun begin!

What happened to the kids who fit in the baby giraffe costume?
Well, I guess one grew up to be The Green Lantern...
And the other grew up to be a cheerleader!
Gramps came over to see the kids all dressed up and to wish them lots of candy success.
As did Mama Bear and Papa Bear.
The Ratt Pack!
Aunt Mo sent the kids some glow in the dark stickers to wear while trick-or-treating. Great idea!  Thanks, Aunt Mo!

The best part of this Halloween was the Ranger!  We all piled in and went all over the neighborhood!
We even picked up some neighbors to trick-or-treat with us!  Stetson was in H.E.A.V.E.N.!!!
TRICK OR TREAT!
Our cutie patooties!
Each house was a new adventure.
It doesn't get much better than this.
Once back home, the kids dumped out their candy to see what they had!  J and I checked their stash as they started taste testing.
Look at all that candy!  This was just from tonight too!  We already have tons from our previous trunk or treating adventure!
What an AWESOME Halloween!!  I hope you all had one just as great, if not better!

Meet Cameron!

Meet my newest little crush, Cameron Chron Ivey!!  This little cutie was born yesterday at 12:39pm, weighing in at 8.1 lbs and 20.5 inches long.

I didn't get a chance to meet him until today, but couldn't wait to get my hands on him!  He is absolutely adorable!
Mommy and Cameron are doing great!  It was great to visit with Bestie too!
Happy Birthday, Cameron!!  Amber, I wish you lots and lots of joy with your two little ones now!  You truly are The Queen of the Castle!

Fall Frenzy

What a busy day!  After Trunk or Treating, we headed to Stetson's elementary school for Fall Frenzy!!  I remember going to these when I was his age and I always looked forward to it.  This was his first time, obviously, and I think he's a fan for life!

There was so much to do!  They had a bounce house, a huge blow up slide, and a blow up obstacle course.  I didn't get any pictures of those but they were a HUGE hit!

Stetson also got his hair painted for the first time.  He could get any combination of colors he wanted, but he went with green all over!  I guess Green Lantern would do that.  :)
Having loads of fun!
There were a ton of different games to play as well.  In this one, Stetson had to stomp on a balloon and pop it.
He threw sharks into these holes and made it!
He went bowling and made a strike too!
Cassidy had fun pushing her stroller around.  She got to play a few games, but not as many as Stetson.
A classic...ring toss!
And, of course, some good old concession stand food!
We stayed until the very end but before we left, each of the kids got their face painted.  Cassidy chose a lady bug.
And Stetson went with Spider Man!
Whew!!  So much fun in one night!!  I have to admit that Fall Frenzy was really cool!  Now, we must recover from all this excitement!

Trunk or Treat

The kids had the opportunity to Trunk or Treat today at Primrose!  Yes, you read that correctly...TRUNK or Treat.  Trunk or Treating is one of the best ideas yet!  In a nutshell, parents park their cars in the parking lot and kids go to each car to receive a treat.  It's so fun!

Here is Cheerleader Cassidy ready to go!
With one small wardrobe change...her hair.  Much better now!
And she's off!! She was a little confused at first, but once she realized what was going on she was ALL for it!
Look at all that loot!
Then it was Stetson's turn!  I had a hard time capturing a good picture of him in his costume.
No instructions needed for him.  He's a pro at this!
Some parents even dressed up!  Fun was had by all!
If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend trunk or treating!  It is a little chaotic because there are so many people in one area, but an absolute blast!  We are already ready to do it again next year!!

Monsterpiece

Another school project!  This time our task was to create a Monsterpiece using recyclable products.  It is not as easy as it sounds.  We finally came up with an idea and ran with it.

We obviously used a milk jug as our recyclable product.  Stetson started painting it and had so much fun doing it. Daddy's old shirts come in handy for stuff like this.  :)
Lots of green paint!  Hmm, what could we be making??
The finished product!!
Frankenstein is quite a Monsterpiece!!  Stetson did a great job and so did Daddy!

Halloween "Cookies"

We usually make cookies before Halloween so we can enjoy them before all the candy.  This year, Halloween kind of snuck up on us so we missed our opportunity.  The best part of baking cookies, though, is using the cookie cutters and decorating them.  So, we improvised this year!

Stetson had a blast cutting out all the different shapes using all the different colors of play dough.
We even pulled out the rolling pin so he could roll out his "dough"!
Cassidy thought this was so fun!
She made some great cookies!
We have no cookies to eat, but that's ok.  Christmas is right around the corner and we usually bake more than we can eat!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we headed to the same little pumpkin patch we have taken the kids to since birth.  It's amazing to think how much they have changed since our first visit.  This year was fun, though, because they are both old enough to enjoy it together.

Here they are making their way through the Halloween Maze.
A little pose with all the characters from The Wizard of Oz, scarecrow style.
Pumpkins!! Now THIS is a pumpkin!
My precious punkins.
This punkin is getting too big too fast.
And strong too!!
And this little punkin is such a joy!
She's always happy.  :)
Another scarecrow and a little sass from Diddy Bug.
She wasn't so sure about this one.
But Stetson had NO problem with it.
We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch and now have our pumpkins for Halloween.  All we have to do is carve them!
