The Never-Ending Birthday

Cassidy's birthday celebration is still not over.  Gramps came over tonight to see the birthday girl and to deliver her gifts.  He always gives the best gifts too!

First Cassidy opened a purse and all the contents you could want to go in it (a coin purse, lipstick, eye shadow and a mirror, a phone, a credit card, keys, etc).  The make-up was a HUGE hit!

She also received something else she could play with Stetson.  She got her very own pink monster truck!!
As well as a jewelry box full of money and a necklace!
Thank you, Gramps, for making Cassidy feel so special!  She loves you so much!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Diddy Bug!!

It's hard to believe that our little one is already three years old.  Cassidy, you have added nothing but joy to our family from the day you were born.  Your smile can light up the darkest of days and your laugh is the most contagious thing around.  Your Daddy, big brother and I love you more than you will ever know and wish you only the best that life has to offer.  Happy Birthday, Princess!!

Cassidy has had a fabulous birthday!  Her day started with a run to the donut shop, per her request.  There is nothing like lots of sugar first thing in the morning.
After breakfast, she opened gifts from all her family (except her immediate family).  She was thrilled with this lady bug  backpack from Aunt Allison, Uncle Chris, Brendon and Alyssa!
Once I explained what the gift card from Uncle Dude, Aunt Rock and Connor was, she was ready to go shopping!
BIG money from Uncle Kevin, Aunt Cami, Christopher and Michael (just like Stetson received).  She loves to be just like him!
And a pink t-ball set from Aunt Mo and Marcy!  Happy times!!
Cassidy immediately wanted to play baseball with Stetson (which explains why they are still in their pajamas).  Stetson got out his t-ball set too and they had a blast.
After lunch and naps (and a change of clothes), we were back outside for more baseball fun.  This time, Cassidy wanted to try playing without the tee (like Stetson does, of course).
Future star??
Whew!  After playing outside most of the afternoon, Cassidy was ready for her family party!  Stetson did well on his spelling test at school last week and picked out these gifts JUST for Cassidy.  He is the best big brother ever!
She also received other items and clothes, and a raincoat to go with her rain boots.  Now we just need some rain.
Stetson gave Cassidy her favorite items of the evening, though.  Besides the special gifts he picked out for her at school, he also gave her a princess soccer ball and an Ariel bubble wand.  Good choices, Buddy!
Taking a break.
Break time is over.  It's time for bubbles!!
This thing is awesome!  It makes HUGE bubbles!

Finally, it was time for the dinner of her choice.  Big surprise...McDonald's!
And we finished off her cupcakes by singing "Happy Birthday" again to our sweet girl and letting her blow out her candles.
Hooray for being three!!

Under the Sea Party

It's time!  It's time!  Let the party begin!!

Just prior to her friends arriving, we let Cassidy open an early present.  It was a Little Mermaid towel to match her Little Mermaid bathing suit!  She now had all she needed!
Her friends soon arrived and the party was underway!
We started the bubble machine and the girls blew their own bubbles as well.
The Slip 'N Slides were a huge hit!
The sand is always a favorite too.
Mommy and the Birthday Girl!!
Daddy and the Birthday Girl!
The party in full swing!  There was lots of squealing and giggling.
After playing a while, it was time for cupcakes!  Cassidy loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to HER!
The girls all stood in the shade and enjoyed their treat.
Then it was back to playing!
Cassidy had so much fun at her party and didn't want it to end.  Luckily, she got to open presents after everyone left, which made it better.  The Carlsons gave Cassidy The Little Mermaid movie!  She was BEYOND excited!!  Thank you!
She also received lots of Barbies and Princess dolls.  We have no shortage of girl toys any longer!
The Iveys gave Cassidy all kinds of goodies, but this was her absolute favorite!!
Nonnie made Cassidy a beautiful shrug!!
What a fun and exciting day!  It's not even her REAL birthday yet!  More to follow!

Party Preparation

The day has finally arrived for Cassidy's Under the Sea birthday party!!  She has been waiting for this day since Stetson's birthday. It should be LOTS of fun!

We recycled the hay bales from Stetson's party and used them for seating in the one spot of shade in the yard.
We also had two different Slip 'N Slides!
Another recycled item from Stetson's party was the sand "box".  Rather than panning for gold, the kids just played in the sand with buckets, shovels, rakes, etc.
No party under the sea would be complete without bubbles!
We also set up a canopy and put the table of drinks and snacks under it.
The pink lemonade is missing from this picture, but here is her Little Mermaid themed table.
The kids snacked on goldfish served from a bucket with a shovel.
As well as shark shaped fruit snacks.
We had to place the cups and napkins inside a basket because it was SO windy!
Cassidy helped me make party favors for her friends and she did a great job!
Here is a view of the whole party.
I baked cupcakes complete with blue icing and Little Mermaid decorations.
Lastly, we placed a sign in the front yard so everyone knew where the party was.
We are ready for the party to begin!!

Cupcakes Delivered!

Stetson wasn't the only one excited this morning!  Cassidy could not wait to take her cupcakes to school!  I hope she has a great little party at Primrose today.

Ridin' to School

Stetson has been begging to ride his bike to school.  It hasn't been possible because his bike has to get back home somehow and they won't take it on the bus to Primrose.  Since I am off work today, though, today was the day!!  I cannot express how excited he was.

J and I were instructed to follow him in my car because he wanted to go fast and didn't want to wait on us while walking.  Smart kid!

Sorry for the pictures...I only had my phone on me this morning!
