Holiday Decorating

We have begun our Christmas decorating already, but we are not completely finished. Our outside lights are hung and all the inside decorations have been put out, but we have not purchased a tree yet.  We will do that soon, though.

We decided to include a new decoration this year!  Now that we only have two dogs (oh how we miss our Deuce), they get to spend a lot more time inside.  Ok, I'll be honest...they are spoiled rotten.  Anyway, Cabela and Birdie were treated to a spa day as an early Christmas present.  They got a bath, a haircut, their ears cleaned, their nailed 'done', cologne, and a Christmas bow!!  I love this decoration!

Thanksgiving in San Antonio

We traveled to San Antonio this year to spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family at Drew and Raquel's new house.  We left on Tuesday in an effort to miss a lot of the traffic and it seems that our planned worked out well!  We had no issues, thank goodness!

On Wednesday, Mom and I spent the whole day in the kitchen preparing for the big feast on Thursday.  Alyssa was staying at my Mom's house as well, so she and my kiddos spent the whole day playing.  They were so good and stayed out of the kitchen while we cooked.  As a reward, I decided to make a special treat with them.

We made turkeys out of Oreos and candy! Each of them made three turkeys a piece (so they could share with others too).

Just look at these beautiful turkeys!
Sadly, I didn't take a single picture of Thanksgiving day.  I guess I was too busy enjoying myself.  We had a wonderful time at Drew and Raquel's house, though, and ate tons of yummy food!  Thank you for inviting us to your beautiful home and spending the holiday with us.

Fun with Cousins

Mama Bear and Papa Bear picked Stetson up today for a special treat!  They were going to meet Kiersten and Marissa (cousins) at the Shops of Legacy for some Christmas activities.  How fun!!

These are some cute reindeer!
Mama Bear and Papa Bear stood in line for a long time so Stetson could get a caricature drawing done.  It is amazing and will be framed very soon in our house!
The kids also got to see REAL reindeer!
After all this fun, Stetson still got to spend the night with Mama Bear and Papa Bear and spend the whole next day with them as well. He LOVES going to visit and this time he got to do it by himself.  Thank you for making our little boy so happy!

Thomas & Tyler's Birthday Party

After our fun adventure with Aunt Mo, we had to go to Thomas and Tyler's birthday party at Lifetime Fitness.  I would have never thought to have a party here, but it is perfect!  Stetson really enjoyed himself!

The party started in the rock climbing area. All the kids had to gear up and wait their turn to climb the wall.
This wall is no joke, though!
Here goes Stetson!
After climbing, the boys all played basketball in the gym.
Basketball player in the making??
Boys will be boys.  Daddy joined in on the fun too.
After basketball, we all headed upstairs for pizza and cake.  I'm glad they did this part of the party at this point because there is NO way they would have stopped the next adventure to eat.  So what was the next adventure, you ask?

An indoor pool with water slides!!
I don't think Stetson could get to the top fast enough!
There he goes!  Just look at that face!
This is one happy little boy who has had one great day!

Last Visit with Aunt Mo

Oh, it is a sad day at our house!  Today is our last visit with Aunt Mo before she has to leave.  BUT...we made the best of it and had an absolute blast with her!

In true Aunt Mo fashion, she showed up with all the fixings for a fabulous lunch and little treats for the kids.  She bought them each a pair of crazy socks from New Mexico!
Check out Cassidy's socks!
And Stetson's!
Before lunch, we all went to the new playground by our house.  We had fun just playing and being together.

Aunt Mo even played football with the boys!
So much fun!
Stetson definitely has his Daddy's genes too because he noticed the mallards in the pond and went in closer for a good look.
While Aunt Mo and Cassidy monkeyed around.
After a fabulous lunch, Cassidy had to take a nap so Aunt Mo and Stetson got some one-on-one time.  They drew pictures on Stetson's new light up memo board.
They also played with Stetson's Bey Blades, played Chutes and Ladders, and had a soccer match outside!
We love you, Aunt Mo, and will dearly miss you!  Thank you for being so wonderful!

Today was picture day at Primrose for Cassidy.  I decided to take a little different approach this year and hope these pictures turn out as cute as she is!  Fingers crossed!

It's an Adventure!

Aunt Mo is in town and that means nothing but fun for the kiddos!  She surprised them today with the help of Mama Bear and Papa Bear by picking them up from Primrose as soon as Stetson arrived.  They had NO idea that this was going to happen or what was in store for them!

Upon arrival at Primrose, Aunt Mo only told them that they were going on an adventure. They climbed in the car and Aunt Mo's first surprise was the movie "Merry Madagascar"! She popped it into the dvd player in the car and they watched the movie as they ate snacks and were transported to the next location.

The next location was the Gaylord Texan. What on earth were they doing there?  Today is the opening day of ICE (the annual carved iced display) and guess what the theme this year is....Merry Madagascar!!

What a fun bunch all snuggled up!
The carved ice displays are amazing!
It looks like everyone had fun!
Not only did they get to see the ice display, they got to go tubing!  Stetson got to ride by himself and Cassidy got to ride with Aunt Mo.
WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Aunt Mo!! Thank you for sending these pictures as well! This is a memory Stetson and Cassidy will have forever!

Movie Time!

After the soccer game, we took all the kids to see Wreck-It Ralph.  Jordan and Morgan were going and asked if Stetson and Cassidy could go as well.  Not wanting to leave Amy (Jordan's Mom) with four kids by herself, J and I decided to go too.

Four excited kiddos!
Did I mention it was in 3-D?  They each got their glasses and snacks and were good to go!
It was really a cute movie and a great break from the "norm" for The Ratt Pack.  We'll have to go to the movies more often!

Last Soccer Game - Fall Season

Today was the last soccer game for the Fall season for Stetson.  We have had a great season with the Tigers and are kind of sad that it is over.  All good things must come to an end, though.

Stetson had more neighbors come to cheer him on today.  Jordan and Morgan, along with Jordan's mom, were sweet enough to make it. Cassidy was super excited!
Great game and great season, Tigers!
I just couldn't get some of these rotated, but we also got our soccer pictures today.  My two favorite guys!
Stetson and all his teammates.
Our cover boy!
He also received his medal today.  He LOVED getting a medal rather than a trophy. Olympians receive medals!
The other side...
Stetson, we are so proud of you!  You left your heart and soul on the soccer field this season!!
