Today was Cassidy's first "real" gymnastics meet titled "Swinging with the Stars" at ASI Keller. We were all so excited to see all her hard work in action.
Here she is debuting her competitive leotard and getting focused for the meet.
Ready to warm up...literally!
Just a little size comparison...they are competing against each other.
And she's off! Floor was first.
Looking good!
Final jump! And done. Score - 9.3!
Next up was vault. It is so hard to get pictures of this, but this is right after she jumped off the spring board. Score - 9.2!
Her favorite event was next...uneven bars. Her practice round was perfect, but the one that counted had some mistakes.
She still did really well, though! Score - 8.00.
Last event was the balance beam.
She fell off early but recovered like a champion.
Even with the fall she scored 8.25.
We are so proud! She did so well today and we have no doubt that her scores will just go up from here.
Coach Tanner gave the girls a post-meet pep talk and let them know that there is still work to do.
We love Coach Tanner!
Congratulations, Diddy Bug, on finishing your first meet and for doing so well!!
