First Hog Hunt

J and Stetson were invited to go hog hunting this morning.  Stetson didn't even know he was going until Daddy woke him up bright and early!  He popped out of bed and was ready to spend the day with his hero. To make it special, Daddy even stopped at the donut store on their way out of town.  For those who don't know, donuts are Stetson's absolute favorite!

This was a great first hunt for Stetson because he didn't have to sit still in a blind somewhere.  Instead, all the guys had a caravan of all terrain vehicles following dogs that were trained to find the hogs.  These are some fierce dogs, but still super sweet.
Stetson was right in the middle of all the action!
Success!  Just to clarify, Stetson was just watching, not actually killing. I think he would have if given the chance.  In fact, the dog owner was trying to find one just for Stetson but didn't have any luck.
I was worried what Stetson would think about seeing his first hunt and all it entails.  Apparently, I was worried over nothing.  He definitely has his Daddy's genes.
A true Mommy reaction..."He doesn't even cut his own food with a butter knife!"
Part of the hunting crew including my guys and Lee (white shirt).
I've just got to say, if I was a hog and saw this crew coming toward me, I would run!  These are some BIG guys!
I've got these dogs.  Let's roll!
Look at all the protective gear these dogs wear.  Hogs are mean!!
The hog hunt was obviously a huge success and the start of a very long hunting career for Stetson.  I'm not sure who is more excited...Stetson or Daddy.

Girl Time

Stetson and Daddy went hunting this morning, so Cassidy and I decided to take advantage of not having any boys around.  It was time to do all kinds of girlie stuff!! I love that Cassidy brings out the little girl in me!  We have so much fun together.

Cassidy decided that she wanted to go shopping.  We went to a few places and then I thought of the PERFECT place to take her.  A place she has never been before and doesn't know exists...The Disney Store!!!

Mirror, mirror on the wall...
Which one, Mommy?  I can't decide.  Wait...how about both?!!
Diddy Bug absolutely LOVED The Disney Store (now called The Princess Store)!!  I told her to pick out what she wanted and I would buy it for her.  We looked at everything but she couldn't decide.  I honestly think she was overwhelmed.  So, we'll go back and load up...or tell Santa to.  :)

Family Party

We were invited to Evelyn and Scarlett's family birthday party at their house.  Evelyn is having a girls slumber party next weekend, which Stetson obviously can't go to, so we went to their family party instead.  Great idea!

Scarlett is having a princess party on the 28th that we are attending (stay tuned for pictures), but we wanted to give her a little something to open from us at her family party as well.  It was a princess coloring pad.
Evelyn loves to go fishing with Kane, so we hooked her up with all kinds of fishing tackle (just like the Carlson's did for Stetson's birthday).
Complete with a tackle box with her name on it!
Happy Birthday, Evelyn and Scarlett!

Bathing Beauties

Taking a bubble bath in Mommy's bathtub is always so fun!!  Cassidy is finally big enough that the tub can be FILLED with bubbles.  We all know how much she loves bubbles! Stetson is a pretty big fan of these kind of bubbles too.

Fireworks!

We loved the Sachse fireworks show so much last year that we returned this year, and invited the Iveys to join us!  It's fun to get our families together and enjoy.

This was Cameron's first 4th and he was great!!
Amber and me (and Cameron's foot).  We always forget to take pictures when we're together, so this was an attempt to do it by myself.
Our big boys!  Caden and Stetson have grown too much!
The Iveys
The Ratt Pack
Our little firecracker (and her baby)!
Our big firecracker!
Look!  A picture of J and me!!  Thanks, Stetson!
Here's our "camp" we made to watch the show.
The fireworks show started!!  So what was every one's reaction this year??

Well, Cameron giggled at them with his Daddy...
Caden enjoyed them with his Mommy...
Cassidy covered her ears and climbed in my lap (but watched them)...
J and Stetson just sat back and enjoyed the show...
What a fantastic firework show yet again!!  Here's the finale for your viewing pleasure.
Happy 4th of July, everyone!!!

Red, White and Blue Parade

It is time for the annual Red, White and Blue Parade at Primrose!  This year Stetson wasn't especially excited about it, but Cassidy was ready to march!  I still remember when each of them were being pushed in a crib during this parade.

Stetson and his friends started the parade off by marching with a banner they made.
Then each class followed.  Cassidy was the leader of her class, of course!
Stetson was kind enough to smile for a picture for me, though.
After the parade, we returned to each classroom to spend a little time with the kids and enjoy watermelon.  J and I went to Cassidy's class first.
Yum! Yum!
Then it was Stetson's turn.
More delicious watermelon!
Lucky for the kiddos, J decided to let them spend the rest of the day at home with him!  Fun times!!
