What's Happening at Our House?

We are the hot topic of the neighborhood these days!  Why is that?  Well, take a look at what's happening in our front yard...

We have plumbing issues!  The city had to come out and dig up our sidewalk and fix a pipe that connected to their main sewer pipe.  They worked day and night.  That didn't solve the problem, though, so they had to come back later and the whole right side of our front yard.

So this is what our front yard looks like now.   Beautiful, huh?

I hope to show you pictures of our beautiful new yard soon, though!  The cement on the sidewalk has been re-poured and the yard has been back-filled.  Now we just wait for the beautification process.  Good news, though, is that our plumbing issues are fixed!!

Baseball Tryouts

Watch out, world!  We have another baseball player in the making!  Stetson chose to play baseball this Spring and had to go through tryouts to be placed on a team.  He has been working so hard with Daddy perfecting his skills in preparation for today.

The long awaited day has arrived and he is ready!

He got his number and hoped everyone noticed it.

And they're off!  They were explaining the whole process at this point.

Then they headed to the dugout to await their turn.

Go, Stetson!!  I can't believe how big he looks here!

Stetson did so well!  We are so proud of him and now can't wait to find out which team he is on and get the season started!!  We'll keep you posted.

You were taken from us way too soon, but we know you are watching over us from above.  We love you and miss you more than you will ever know.  

In honor of you, we celebrate your life rather than mourn your passing.  You touched so many with your gentle way.

Another Tooth!

The tooth fairy will be making another visit to our house tonight!  Stetson has lost his second tooth and once again, it came out at school.  He got to go to the nurse's office and get a necklace to wear with his tooth inside for the rest of the day (which is very exciting to him).  I have a feeling the tooth fairy will be making frequent visits to Stetson's room in the coming months.

Birthday Celebration

What a wonderful birthday I had this year! Everyone made me feel so special and I truly appreciate everyone going out of their way to do so.  I have such amazing family and friends!

My day started with a very yummy breakfast. It was fun to eat all the food that I don't allow myself to eat on a regular basis.  Thank you, Mama Bear and Papa Bear, for the treat!

After breakfast, we walked through all the little shops near the cafe we dined in. It was raining and getting cold, but we still enjoyed it.  When we were done, we headed back to our house for cake and gifts.

My little guy gave me a gift card to my favorite store.

As did my little lady!  Great gifts!!!

 Aunt Mo joined the party too!  Woo Hoo!!  I see a shopping spree in my future!!

Mama Bear and Papa Bear gave me this beautiful red sweater and a gift card to Starbucks.

Mom sent me two Scentsy warmers as well.

WOW!  I told you I had a fabulous birthday! This wasn't the end of it either.  My loving hubby and kiddos took me to dinner at my restaurant of choice.  We had such a fun time!  Thanks again to one and all for making me feel so blessed on my special day.
