Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the great fathers out there, especially the ones I am honored to know and love!!  Although today is a special day to tell you how much we appreciate all you do, please know that we feel this way EVERY day!!

To my own father...I wish you were here so I could hug your neck but I know you are with me every day.  I love you so much and miss you more and more each day.  You were an amazing Dad and taught me more than you will ever know.

To my loving husband...oh where to begin! Although I did hand pick you, I never knew just how wonderful of a father you would be.  Our children are blessed beyond belief to have you as their Daddy.  Thank you for teaching them what love really is.

We celebrated Father's Day with Gramps today, and it was great!  He requested that I cook the fish that he and J caught together.  Great choice because it was quite tasty if I do say so myself! Then we headed outside to enjoy the evening.

Must Dash

Amy and I have decided to run a 5k every month this Summer and today was our first one!  This is a great way to stay motivated and I'm so happy Amy agreed to run with me.  She's such a trooper!

This morning we ran in the Must Dash in Richardson, in honor of Father's Day.  We love our Dads (real ones and the the father of our kiddos)!!

Swim Lessons

Cassidy has started swim lessons!  She is having so much fun learning how to swim without her floaties and is not afraid at all.  She'll be a little fish by the end of this Summer!

She is doing so great!  She is taking lessons for two weeks and I will post pictures of what all she has learned at the end.  It's amazing how far she has already come!

Cassidy's Birthday Celebration

Now that we are all healthy, it is time to celebrate our big four year old and her special day!  Big brother attended a party for one of his friends, so Cassidy got to have special one-on-one time with Mommy and Daddy.  It was great!

Like her brother, Cassidy chose to go to Build-A-Bear.

 Happy Birthday, Diddy Bug!!

Rather than more cupcakes, we celebrated with a pink sprinkled sugar cookie.  Yum!

And THEN went for lunch at Chick-fil-A (Cassidy's choice of course).  Birthdays are awesome when you get to have dessert first.

After playing at Chick-fil-A and then a short nap, I took Cassidy on a special Mommy/Daughter adventure.  To the nail salon for manicures!!  She was T.H.R.I.L.L.E.D.!!!

Whew, what a day!!  Cassidy deserved every bit of it, though!  I'm just sorry we couldn't do it on her actual birthday.  We had SO much fun any way!
