Celebrating Cultures

We were invited to Cassidy's class this afternoon for her Celebrating Cultures Parade. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating so there was no parade.  We just stayed inside instead.  Cassidy's class represented Greece and they were joined by the Kindergartners, who represented Ireland.

 Our little Greek Goddess...
She sure is cute!
After a short presentation,  we enjoyed snacks representing each country.  They were yummy too!
Great job, Diddy Bug!

Soccer Season is Here!

I am so happy to be posting about our little athlete again!  As mentioned previously, Stetson is back on the same soccer team as last Fall.  We love Coach Jeremy and are ready to spend our Saturdays at the soccer fields.

Stetson is ready too!  Go #11!!
Daddy is the assistant coach again this season too. Here he is warming up the boys prior to the game.
Let's go Tigers!
Stetson was team captain today and got to represent the team with Coach Jeremy for the coin toss.
He also got to play goalie a little today.  This is the first year they get to play with a goal keeper. It was a nice break for him since he is usually running all over the field.
The boys did great and won the game! Great job, Tigers!!  The season is off to a great start!

Heroes for Children

Amy and I completed another 5k this morning! Woo Hoo!  We supported a great cause.

This is the last one before I attempt a 10k and a 5k in the same day.  What am I thinking?!  Let's just hope for cooler weather on 9/21!

Welcome Home, Daddy!!

Daddy has been in Bolivia on a hunting and fishing trip for the past eight days and he is finally coming home tonight!!  We could not be more excited!  To welcome him home, the kids wanted to make a special surprise for him.

This is what Daddy would walk into when he arrived home...
Yummy brownies that the kids made, complete with nuts and sprinkles!
A picture that Cassidy colored for Daddy...
A picture that Stetson colored for Daddy...
And a card that they made together for Daddy...
The finishing touch was a doorway of streamers he would have to walk through.
We picked up Daddy at the airport, but it was LATE!  These two had been asleep but were awake and waiting patiently for Daddy in baggage claim. This was their first time inside an airport so it was quite the adventure for them.
Welcome home, Daddy!!  I'm sure I will post pictures of his travels to South America in a later post.

ASI Gymnastics

Watch out, world!  We have the next gold medal gymnast in training!  Cassidy started her gymnastics classes last week but I forgot my camera.  So, here she is this week ready to go!!

She is doing GREAT and her coach is already talking about moving her up to the next level. She's a natural, I tell ya!

Uniform Time

Today was the first day that Cassidy had to wear her uniform to Pre-K.  She was so excited to put it on and to wear her new "pretty shoes"!  She sure does look cute.

Sweet & Sassy

Cassidy was invited to her friend Baylee's birthday party at Sweet & Sassy.  This place is a little girl's dreams come true!  I had so much fun just watching Cassidy enjoy herself.

Baylee had a fairy party, which means all the girls were turned into fairies.  The transformation started with their hair.
While getting her hair done, she had her fingernails painted as well.
What a beautiful fairy, but we're not done yet!
Fairies need makeup too!
What is a fairy without a little glitter as well?!  You can't tell but it's all in her hair too.
And what beautiful fairy hair it is!  The ribbons over the back of the chair reached all the way to the floor when she stood up.
Fairy Cassidy...
After their makeovers, the girls were asked to dance on a stage.
Pictures just don't do the dancing justice, so here are a couple videos...

Following the dance party, the girls officially became fairies by walking the red carpet and receiving their wands and wings.  They even asked the girls questions when they first arrived and their answers were announced during their ceremony.  Here is Cassidy becoming official...
Congratulations, fairies!
The final task was for the girls to make a birthday video for Baylee.  Each girl had to walk onstage and say "Happy Birthday, Baylee!" into the microphone.  There were a lot of shy little four year old girls and then there was Cassidy...
Then it was party time!  The cake was yummy.
As a treat, all the guests got to go to the beauty bar and choose what they wanted.  They could choose a sugar scrub for the bath, perfume, lotion, or lip gloss.
Cassidy wanted sugar scrub.
Thank you, Baylee, for a fabulous fairy adventure!  Happy Birthday!
