Snow Day - Part Two

This winter storm brought real snow rather than ice.  Four inches to be exact!  The kids were so excited to have another snow day right before Spring Break!

While I stayed inside where it was warm, J and Aaron took on all the neighborhood kids in a snowball fight.

 I'm pretty sure the adults were having more fun than the kids.

 Then again, I'm not sure.  The kids had a blast!

These are the best kind of snow days...the ones where you can stay outside most of the day and play. I did eventually venture outside and enjoy the day as well.

Gettin' Down with Mama Goose

Tonight was Cassidy's first school performance, Gettin' Down wit Mama Goose. It was only three short years ago that we were attending the same Kindergarten program for Stetson.  My goodness, where has the time gone?

We have video of her speaking part too, but it won't cooperate.  So, you'll just have to take my word that she is a great little speaker.

Championship Game

The Pirates made it to the championship game! We are so proud of these boys and how well they have done this basketball season.

They played a great game, but unfortunately, the Blue Devils won in the end.

Another season in the books.  Now on to soccer and baseball!

Snow Day

Now that it is the end of February, we finally have our first snow day.  It is no fun to make these school days up later, but it sure is fun right now!

We had more ice than snow, so making snow balls wasn't as easy as it looks.  Stetson still managed to make some good ones, though.

Daddy/Daughter Dance

The PTA of Cassidy's school organized a Daddy/Daughter dance as a fundraiser.  Cassidy has been so excited to go on a date with her hero. She's lucky I'm willing to share him. :)

They look stunning!  Daddy even coordinated his tie with her dress.

They joined some of our neighbors for dinner and pizza before the dance.  These girls clean up well!

It's great to have good friends to share this with.

I wasn't invited to the dance, so I obviously don't have any pictures from it.  You know I would have snapped some if I could!  Anyway, I was told they had a fabulous time together.  They even danced!

100th Day

Kindergarteners celebrate the 100th day of school to show that they are 100 days smarter!  It also celebrates the fact that they can count to 100.  As part of the celebration, they have to do a project that shows 100 items displayed somehow.

Cassidy chose to display 100 stars in the night sky.  Great job!

The Kindergarteners also dress up like they are 100 years old and attend a sock hop at school.  Here is our old lady.

Cassidy really is 100 days smarter!  She has come a long way since the first day of school.
