Bowling

After spending the morning with Mama Bear and Papa Bear, we were invited to Finn's 8th birthday party. Finn is our cousin and he had a bowling party!  Stetson was super excited to see his cousin and to bowl.  You know him, anything sports related is right up his alley (no pun intended).

Unfortunately, I forgot my camera at Mama Bear and Papa Bear's house, but J was smart enough to capture this picture of Cassidy on his phone.  This is Cassidy's first bowling adventure and she is a great little bowler!

Birthday and Christmas Celebration

Mama Bear and Papa Bear will be out of town this year for Christmas, so we had our celebration early.  Papa Bear also will not be here on his birthday, so we celebrated him today too!  We went to their house for a super yummy brunch this morning, and then had lots of fun!

Time to open presents!
Even Mama Bear and Papa Bear!
I'm not sure how I ended up with only a picture of Cassidy posing with her gift, but that's all I have.  I guess I was having too much fun myself.

Thank you, Mama Bear and Papa Bear, for the wonderful brunch, the gifts, and the time you spent with us.  We all had a great time and wish you safe travels.  Happy Birthday, Bear and Merry Christmas to you both!

Mission Update

Our agents have not had a chance to decorate all their ICJs  yet, but they definitely want to give one each to Mama Bear and Papa Bear. Therefore, they spent the morning decorating and documenting as we will see them later this morning.  More to come...

Christmas Mission 2012

If you recall, Aunt Mo sent Stetson and Cassidy their very first Christmas Mission last year.  Their task was to spread Christmas joy to others by spending $10 each on someone/something that needed it.  It was a fabulous idea and a huge success.  It is also now an annual event.  With that said, the Christmas Mission 2012 has arrived!
They couldn't wait to see what the mission was this year!
Fancy packaging!!
Inside was a letter explaining their mission, blank stocking cards and $10 each. They are to spread Christmas joy again this year with their money, but there is a new twist...the blank stocking cards (also called Instant Christmas Joy or ICJ).  They are to decorate the ICJs and give them to ANYONE they feel  needs one.  Who wouldn't want a little extra special Christmas joy?!  They also have to document their mission on the special Mission paper Aunt Mo included.
In true Aunt Mo style, though, that was not all!  There was also a package with Stetson's name on it and one with Cassidy's name on it.

As you can see from the envelope, each envelope contains a little something to tide them over until Christmas.  They are to open one gift every other day until Christmas.  GENIUS!
The instructions stated that Cassidy got to choose which gift they would open first.  She had no trouble with that task!
Pop Rocks!  Yummy!

Thank you, Aunt Mo, for helping spread Christmas joy at our house again this year!  Agent Stetson and Agent Cassidy gladly accept their mission and hope to make you proud.  We will keep you posted on their progress.

Primrose Christmas Program

Tonight was the Primrose Christmas Program and the theme was 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  Stetson sang with the Explorers (after-school program) but he was also selected to be a narrator.  Cassidy sang with her pre-school class and they both did a wonderful job!

The show started with the Kindergartners and Explorers singing "Sing We Now of Christmas".  Stetson is in the very middle of the pack.

After a few other performances, it was Stetson's first turn to narrate.
Here is a little taste of it.  The narration occurred between performances so I apologize for the noise.

Next up was Cassidy!  She and her friends sang two songs and she can be found on the back row, second from the left.

"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"

"Up on the Housetop"

Stetson had a second turn at narrating as well.

Lastly, the Explorers performed "Silent Night".

The twist was that they did it using sign language.  Great job!

We are very proud of our little Christmas angels!!

Decorations are Done!

The Christmas decorations are complete! Now it is time for our favorite part of Christmas...hot chocolate by the tree!! Stetson and I have been doing this for a couple years, but this is Cassidy's first year to enjoy this tradition too.

I think she likes it!
Yum...
Hot chocolate goes really well with marshmallows too.
Stetson grabbed the camera and took this picture of Cassidy.
Here's to many, many more cups of hot chocolate by the Christmas tree!
